RfP scheduled to end after 3 January 2026 13:40 (UTC)

Hello everyone, I'm Polar Bear, formerly known as ASid. I'd like to become a wikidata administrator. I was previously an arbitrator for the Chinese Wikipedia and currently an administrator for the Chinese Wikiversity. In addition, I'm a global rollback member. I understand my activity level on wikidata might not be satisfactory, but I've seen the backlog of requests for WD:RFD and really want to help. As an administrator:

1. I will abide by the community's consensus.

2. Before performing any administrative actions, I will not hesitate to consult other administrators if I have any questions.

3. If anyone has doubts about my actions, I will reflect on actions and communicate with them. If I made a mistake, I will reflect on it.

I will provide assistance as much as possible in my spare time. I also hope community can take my experience in the global and Chinese communities into consideration. Thank you for your consideration.

After becoming an administrator, I will prioritize handling RFD requests. I also have experience(referring to global) in anti-vandalism and can provide assistance with obvious blocking requests in AN.--Ppolar bear (talk) 13:40, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  1.  Support active enough in targeted area (RfD), though the overall edit count is somewhat low --Morneo06 (talk) 20:18, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  3.  Weak support Activity is a bit limited, but they seem responsible and genuinely interested in helping with the RfD backlog. I'm willing to give them a chance with the tools. --Saroj (talk) 11:34, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  8.  Weak oppose: I doubt the user's understanding of the Wikidata notability policy, for example here. I think it is too soon to request adminship. Sun8908 💬 18:33, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, regarding that report, it was due to my oversight rather than unfamiliarity with the policy. The vast majority of my reports have been successfully processed for deletion, and I am generally a cautious person. I sincerely apologize for this mistaken submission.
I do not intend to change your position; I am only providing an explanation regarding this mistake.:( Ppolar bear (talk) 01:04, 1 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I truly hope you’ll check my other successful deletion requests as well. :/ Ppolar bear (talk) 01:53, 1 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't doubt that you have reported successful deletion requests and I appreciate your contribution. However, I am not sure if you have a good enough understanding to handle the more complicated requests, which often ends up in the backlog. I would rather you have more experience before requesting for adminship. Sun8908 💬 06:59, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
  9.  Neutral I would expect more experience for an admin. --Wolverène (talk) 21:46, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  10.  Weak oppose per Wolverène; will happily reconsider after a few months of more sustained activity in places like RfD/AN. Mahir256 (talk) 21:53, 1 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
