I am Ege. I am a Computational Humanities Master student in Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. I majored in Computer Science and Engineering and minored in Gender Studies in Sabancı University.
I have been an active member of Wikidata since 2022. I became really interested in Wikidata's Ontology in 2024 and have since been actively working on it.

Wikidata work
[edit]- I co-conducted a series of Lexeme workshops in a high school. (Spring 2023)
- Within the CIP project, I held sessions about Wikidata. (Fall 2023)
- My summer internship in my Computer Science degree was about Wikidata, the aforementioned papers being results of that internship.
- I finished the Open Refine course on Wiki Learn.
- I co-led the Wikidata Ontology Course.
- I have started working on benchmarking with different SparQL engines.

[edit]- I co-led a memory walk that aimed to introduce people interested in gender subjects to Wikipedia. (Fall 2023)
- I established a Wikipedia course branch in my university's Civic Involvement course, it has since been transformed into a Digital Citizenship course. (2023) I gave an online speech in 2024's Wikimania about this course.
- I participated in the effort to document EuroPride 2024 in Greece.
- I have been an active member of WMLGBT and WMSDG.
- I finished the Organiser Labs course in early 2024.
