Familienaam Van Manen

Beste Mondo. Je plaatste bij Bertien van Manen dat haar familienaam Van Manen is. Het is echter alleen de achternaam van haar echtgenoot en dus geen officiële naam. Het is hoogstens de naam die ze in het dagelijks leven officieus gebruikte. Ik weet niet hoe dit te verbeteren. Haar echte en volledige naam zou Marie Berthe Henket zijn geweest. mvg. Beste HT, familienaam op Wikidata is gekoppeld aan achternaam en daar voer je dus de achternaam in die een persoon had. In dit geval had Bertien de achternaam Van Manen aangenomen, dus is dat haar achternaam. Voor geboortenaam (meisjesnaam) is een aparte parameter. Mvg, Mondo (talk) 08:54, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Hoi Mondo. Als achternaam/familienaam heeft ze alleen officieel die van Henket gehad. Amerikanen kunnen de achternaam van hun echtgenoot officieel tot de hunne maken. In Nederland is dat nooit het geval geweest. Met Van Manen is sprake van "huwelijksnaam". Daar zou Wikidata wat mij betreft iets mee moeten doen. Nu is de verkeerde indruk dat Van Manen haar officiële achternaam is. Happytravels (talk) 19:58, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Hoi HT, haar huwelijksnaam is haar officiële achternaam, zo werkt dat op Wikidata. En dat is mijns inziens niet meer dan normaal, want zo vul je dat op bijvoorbeeld formulieren ook in. Als je vindt dat dat anders moet, dan zijn er andere plekken om dat te bespreken. Haar geboortenaam staat als ‘Henket’ vermeld op Wikidata. Mondo (talk) 20:02, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

ISO 3166-1

ISO 3166-1/country

I'd be very much obliged if local Wikipedia groups wouldn't just decide things that affect all of Wikidata and, by extension, all of Wikipedia. ISO 3166-1 country codes will only be issued to instances of Q6256, current label is country. If you think or decide that's not the case in a particular language then I suggest you change the label for that language.

Wikidata also uses a property Property:P17 which necessitates instances of Q6256. The kingdom of the Netherlands cannot be mentioned without a warning if you insist on your change, and one would have to use Property:P1001 instead.

Nederland country aanpassingen

Hoi Mondo, dit is incorrect. Voor locaties gebruik je Netherlands (Q55), voor personen gebruik je country of citizenship (P27) -> Kingdom of the Netherlands (Q29999) Multichill (talk) 16:02, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Zip codes in Property:P6375

Hello Mondo, from what I can tell with this edit you introduced in the Dutch description that zip codes shall not be included in claims about addresses. This conflicts with this property's Wikidata usage instructions. Was there a wider discussion, for example in the project chat, where you discussed this change in the property's semantics?
