Thanks for sorting out Accel World (Q53351) (I noticed it dropping out of Wikidata:WikiProject Video games/Reports/Platform/PlayStation 3). These items are a pain to split, thanks for doing it :) Jean-Fred (talk) 16:35, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

"simulation video game (Q1610017)"

[edit]

Hi, I was wondering why you reverted. There was no explanation in the edit summary. Thanks. Huggums537 (talk) 17:29, 16 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

You changed a correct short description to a less correct one. —Xezbeth (talk) 17:42, 16 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Items of Japanese actors or voice actors

[edit]

Yesterday I was correcting the short description of all the items related to Japanese actors or voice actors and you, for your part, reversed mine without giving any explanation. However, you should not gather so many occupations in itself, you have to follow the example of the other articles (see Wikipedia:Short description#Inclusion of dates), you only have to rewrite the nationality first and then the first occupation in the short description. 148.101.59.159 18:25, 23 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Aoi Yūki (Q1347031) is not known for being an actress. Nor is Aya Hirano (Q237405) or Yui Ogura (Q2477774). Saori Hayami (Q1153079) is just as known as a singer. And so on. I assume you're just going by the first occupation mentioned in their EN wiki article, which is the wrong approach. —Xezbeth (talk) 19:45, 23 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
But those three Japanese voice actors you mentioned did appear in numerous live action productions, for example Aoi Yūki (Q1347031) appears in Cafe Isobe (Q372631) and some in Super Sentai Series (Q1054760) or when Mamoru Miyano (Q519821) recently appears in the movie The Prince of Tennis (Q303674), the other items that I have edited before I am not aware of it, and what do you mean that your approach was wrong? I do not understand you, inform yourself better. 148.101.59.159 00:09, 24 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Short description reversal

[edit]

G'day Xezbeth, you recently undid the short descriptions I added to athletics at the 2002 Asian Games – men's marathon and 2013 Speedway Premier League. I added these based on WP:SDNONE which states "If an article title is sufficiently detailed that an additional short description would not be helpful,... a description of "none" should be used to remove the article from the missing-description tracking categories." I am curious as to the reasoning behind your reversal. Cheers and happy editing! JohnnyBflat (talk) 11:38, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

That guidance is for the English Wikipedia, not Wikidata. There are no tracking categories here. —Xezbeth (talk) 12:08, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Carmilla

[edit]

The 1872 novella is data item Carmilla (Q111534222). You are editing the main data item, which is for all editions of the work. The 1872 publication data applies only to the first edition, not to any other editions. --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:18, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ok, but why call it a novel if it isn't one. —Xezbeth (talk) 16:19, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Are you claiming that no sources call it a novel? There is no precise distinction between novel and novella. If you search, you can find it described as a "novel", a "novella", or a "story". --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:23, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wikidata supports multiple values. If you think "novella" is the better description, simply give it "Preferred" rank. We do this with conflicting data about birth dates, for example. Both dates are put in, but the one with the better support is marked as "Preferred". The other values remain in place; there is no need to limit a property to a single value. Just mark one as "Preferred". --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:31, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

[edit]

Hi, I noticed there technically missing an item i guess. But I couldn't quite figure it out.

I asked on the Discord wikiproject video games channel:

https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q112617712 I think someone with more understanding as to what's going on with these remakes should look into this

FF7 remake. From the wiki page there is The remake the ehanced remake called Remake Intergrade and then a 3rd remake is coming ? but i think there is a wikidata item missing for intergrade ?

wikipedia:

An enhanced version, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade,[b] was released for the PlayStation 5 and Windows in 2021. The second part, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, is scheduled to release in winter 2023–2024 for PlayStation 5. A third part will complete the story and will follow Rebirth sometime in the future.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_VII_Remake1

They said it wasn't worth making it a separate item, but I guess you can make it one. I would agree with making it separate, but I'm somewhat confusing by the naming of all these versions Thibaultmol (talk) 15:21, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

I made a separate item: Q112663549. It has unique entries on various databases so I see no reason why it shouldn't have one. —Xezbeth (talk) 19:40, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Personality Database

[edit]

Does this database have entries in a mixture of languages, or are all the entries in English? If all the data is in English, then that information should be listed only on the data item for the Database, and not on every reference. Listing it everywhere would be redundant. --EncycloPetey (talk) 21:06, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'm not even sure why it's being added while using Wikidata for Web. It didn't to begin with. —Xezbeth (talk) 21:08, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wait yes I do. It's pulling it from formatter URL (P1630) on Personality Database work ID (P10688) and Personality Database profile ID (P10757). Could just remove it if it's redundant? —Xezbeth (talk) 21:13, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Since it's redundant, I would remove it, yes. That information should only be necessary if the database is multilingual and it's necessary to individually identify the language of each entry in the database. For a single-language database, we just mark the language on the data item for that database, and bots can pull the information from the data item, as needed. --EncycloPetey (talk) 21:50, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Re: wwwyzzerdd

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you are a user of my browser extension wwwyzzerdd. I am considering applying for a Wikimedia grant to further its development (for one thing it needs to be rewritten to be compatible with manifest v3 before the 2023 deadline). As part of that I'm contacting some users to get some feedback. If you have some time I would appreciate if you could tell me:

  • How do you find the extension? Is it useful to your work?
  • What features / functionality would you like added? Are there bugs that you'd like fixed?
  • What browser/OS do you use?

Thanks, any feedback is appreciated.

WHO Public Health Prizes and Awards

[edit]

Hi, I see you have changed the link to all WHO Public Health Prizes and Awards from the lists to a redirect, is that common? FuzzyMagma (talk) 12:47, 3 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

an item about the award should be separate from an item about the list article on Wikipedia, as they aren't the same thing. Linking to the redirect instead made sense to me as that's where an article would be if it were to ever be created. —Xezbeth (talk) 12:50, 3 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

web novel

[edit]

Hello. I see you have changed the instance of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (Q115735149). Can you tell me why do you think web novels are no the light novels? As I've said previous, light novels are only a style of novels, so the web novel could be both a novel or a light novel. Web novels are one that published online, but the style doesn't matter. Laftp0 (talk) 06:56, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Shōsetsuka ni Narō works are just novels. Only when picked up by a light novel label and published in tankōbon/bunkōbon format as a light novel are they considered light novels. Calling them light novels on Wikidata is just asking for confusion since the web version is ignored in 99% of cases already. —Xezbeth (talk) 07:01, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
What is the source determines light novels are only published in tankobon? I see many sources including English Wikipedia and Japanese dictionaries determine light novels as a style. Also Naro has a dedicated category for novel series as Junbungaku (Q4160933). Laftp0 (talk) 07:05, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Pokemons

[edit]

Hello, why each of them is subclass of character and not instance of? Infovarius (talk) 20:08, 20 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Because there's more than one of them. Meowth (Q877650) is not a single instance of a character. —Xezbeth (talk) 20:15, 20 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kochubey

[edit]

Hi. Technically, you're probably right. But ! Why separate from other languages? Бучач-Львів (talk) 09:12, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I was trying to find something useful to link to and Wikidata:WikiProject Names/Disambiguation seems to be the best option. If interwiki links are important then they can be done via redirects per Wikidata:Sitelinks_to_redirects#Disambiguation_page_and_family_name, but that isn't a requirement. —Xezbeth (talk) 09:15, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Besides. The article in EnWiki actually has a disambig template ) look at the code --Бучач-Львів (talk) 09:17, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm very familiar with how enwiki surname articles are structured. If it's just a list of names with no prose they are considered set index articles, which are still not disambiguation pages. —Xezbeth (talk) 09:20, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
why complicate? as a result, they are "torn off" from similar wikipedia articles by other languages... --Бучач-Львів (talk) 09:22, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
as far as I understand the task of Wikipedia, it should simplify the search for information. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 09:24, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
[edit]

I believe that on or about 03:40 30 June 2023 you likely removed sitelinks to the articles q:en:Soul Eater: Seasons 1-15 and q:en:Soul Eater: Seasons 16-Current. Can I please have a explanation. Thankyou. -- DeirgeDel tac 06:15, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Those Wikiquote articles are utter fan fiction nonsense that should be deleted. They certainly do not need Wikidata items, and not season items since Soul Eater doesn't have any seasons. —Xezbeth (talk) 06:17, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I nominated them for deletion on Wikiquote, should probably have just done that in the first place. —Xezbeth (talk) 06:27, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Xezbeth:: They were already up for deletion at q:en:Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/SoulEaterFan articles and probably best if you simply vote there. I had to drop a car in for servicing and I've come back and fixed the incorrect Vfd-new template that you probably leveraged without realising you'd raised a new VFD. Sorry if this has got a little messy and unclear.-- DeirgeDel tac 08:32, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Removing "present in work"

[edit]

Greetings, I notice that you have made many removals of present in work (P1441), and I couldn't find your explanation or rationale. Could you explain these removals, please? Elizium23 (talk) 17:49, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

That property should be for fictional things, with an exception seemingly made for real people for reasons that I'm not sure I agree with but wasn't going to argue about. The Vatican City is not a person however so I have no problem removing an unreferenced arbitrary link to a single work of fiction, when the Vatican appears in hundreds of fictional works, none of which need to be linked to either. —Xezbeth (talk) 18:07, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
No, the property's name specifically includes "fictionalized" entities, which is an obvious component of incorporating them into a fictional work. "Fictionalized" of course refers only to real-life entities which have been altered by some measure, to suit the story. Elizium23 (talk) 18:40, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
No, a fictionalized entity would be something like United States of America (Q99281400). I am not going to make dozens of such items for the sake of Civilization V of all things, there's no value in doing so. —Xezbeth (talk) 18:44, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
If we needed to create items for their fictionalized versions, the property constraints should have caught that and raised warnings. I don't see any warnings. Elizium23 (talk) 19:00, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I believe that is because there is a subject type constraint for artificial object (Q16686448), which includes almost everything. Which looks like it was added after the October 2021 talk page discussion, which seems to agree that it's fine to use this on real objects. I do not feel like arguing so I will revert the other removals. —Xezbeth (talk) 19:11, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

About Date A Live

[edit]

Sorry. As I am new at wikidata I am trying to add things but there are many things I am not sure of or I do not know about so I take reference from other Items. Can you give me the list of the statements a media franchise has and if possible manga or television series as well? It would be very helpful as I am currently adding statements to Items related to anime (media franchises) or manga. ShahajadaSJ7 (talk) 10:57, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

has part(s) (P527) is really the only important one. country of origin (P495) makes sense, and then identifiers that relate to the wider franchise instead of the separate works, like GameFAQs franchise ID (P6472). —Xezbeth (talk) 11:17, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

About "Japanese given name" (Q22812564)

[edit]

Hello. You have removed "Japanese given name (Q22812564)" from the "instance of (P31)" in several entries, why did you do that?

As the explanation says, "Japanese given name" is a "given name prominently found in Japan". "Genjirō (Q111708576)" and "Harumitsu (Q85846081)" are truly Japanese names, and I can assure you that if anyone outside of Japan has these names, he or she is most certainly of Japanese descent. Lombroso (talk) 08:00, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Japanese given name (Q22812564) used to be necessary as undifferentiated Japanese kana given name (Q88865478) wasn't a subclass of it, but it was changed fairly recently. It's a good change in my opinion and now there is no need for the undifferentiated name items to have three separate instances. The separate items for each kanji name should still use Japanese given name (Q22812564), so nothing is being lost. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:14, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

recent director and film item edits

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth,
I want to talk about this change as it seems to replicate information in a way that Default values were designed to prevent (see Help:Default values for labels and aliases). Instead of having one or more Alias(es) for all languages ("aliases / mul"), you doubled the exact same information to the English and German entries.
The second issue is regarding multiple edits did on film items:

  • Changing the film's title language - The language of the film title should be set to the real language. Here it's English, not Japanese. The name of the word does not exist in the Japanese language as far as I know. It's a word from the English language and therefore the language should be tagged so accordingly.
  • Changing character names to Japanese writing - I see very little use in this change as the majority of the world will not be able to read this. If you think that the name should be included in the Japanese writing system as well, you can add it with a second qualifier using the same property.
  • Moving Aliases from Japanese to English - AFAIC an alias should be entered in the language it would be used (spoken, written, etc.) or where it would be understood. The romanisation of Japanese names (Romaji) should therefore be entered in the Japanese alias section. If there is an English name like in the provided example, probably pretty much to nobody would use the Japanese name while speaking English.

--D-Kuru (talk) 08:34, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mul labels are not for cramming in every possible language. They aren't even supposed to be used on things like films, see Help:Default values for labels and aliases#When should I use default values for labels and aliases? for the current accepted use cases. Japanese films can and do use English titles. The Japanese title for the Japanese film in Japan is AFTERGLOWS so why wouldn't that be used with the title property? Japanese films should use Japanese names for fictional characters what with it being a Japanese film in Japanese, if you want to include another language then create separate items for them. Romanizations are not Japanese and so do not belong as a Japanese label or alias. —Xezbeth (talk) 09:05, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why do you keep adding invalid cross-language redirect links?

[edit]

Why do you keep adding invalid cross-language japanese redirect links? This behavior is meaningless. Please wait until someone creates an article on that Wikipedia for that language before you add a cross-language link, okay? Please don't do weird and confusing things. it is meaningless for your behavior.--Znppo (talk) 14:17, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Redirect links in lieu of an article are perfectly fine. So I'll repeat myself, stop removing them. —Xezbeth (talk) 14:31, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Takasaki

[edit]

en:Takasaki (surname) states, that there are 2 kinds of Japanese spellings for this name. Last, there was merged Q127468085 into Q26216269. Looks for me suspicious. This seems to be a merge of 2 different spellings, where one (not in enwiki listed case) seems to appear to Q127452007 [1]. What is your opinion as a Japanese language specialist? Florentyna (talk) 19:32, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I undid the merge as I believe they should remain separate. The issue is that 髙 is just an alternative form of 高 that only appears in names, so a native Japanese speaker might consider them to be the same thing. I still think they should be separate for Wikidata's purposes though. —Xezbeth (talk) 19:48, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Nishii

[edit]

Nishii (Q55644266) is just latin transliteration of Japanese surname Nishii (Q125500544) not real surname. Look at what links here. No need to keep two items separately. fryed-peach (talk) 08:19, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

It should still be separate, and used for items like Kanae Nishii (Q36607330) where their native name is not provided. It is also quite possible for non-Japanese people to have this surname, and their name would never be written as "にしい". —Xezbeth (talk) 08:30, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
I see you edited Kanae Nishii (Q36607330) to artificially create usecase there. If you see Nishii (Q55644266) as non-Japanese surname and Kanae Nishii (Q36607330) is obviously Japanese, why add it as P734? You should first check nationality and native spelling of name then make statement, am I wrong? About "It is also quite possible for non-Japanese people to have this surname", it's highly dubious. No need to pre-create such items, I think. fryed-peach (talk) 09:08, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
That was just an example. Here's a better example: Tomoko Nishii (Q91506419). There is no way of knowing for sure if this person is Japanese. Their only paper is in an American journal, Nishii (Q55644266) is therefore the correct item to use in lieu of more information. Please see Wikidata:WikiProject Names#Basic principles for why the two name items should remain separated even if there weren't any use cases. —Xezbeth (talk) 09:41, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Dandadan (Q123564285) and Dandadan (Q108069627)

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth,

I noticed that you are an administrator of Wikidata.

Thank you for the continuous contributions.

You removed claim: different from (P1889) and mentioned "they are already linked"

Does that mean they are already linked as derivative work?

Unfortunately, most Japanese Wikidata contributors only view Wikidata in Japanese.

'Different from' is expressed as '以下と異なる' in Japanese and is very useful for drawing attention to the fact that manga series and anime TV series exist as distinct entities in the database.

Due to many contributors being unaware of this fact, there is a persistent issue with contributors adding Japanese anime television series information to Dandadan (Q108069627).

Additionally, I believe there's a benefit to preserving 'different from (P1889)' for Dandadan (Q123564285), as it allows users to differentiate between Dandadan (Q123564285) and Dandadan (Q108069627) directly on the Wikidata page for Dandadan (Q123564285).

If there are no technical limitations, I believe it would be acceptable to maintain both 'different from' and 'derivative work' simultaneously.

Even considering this point, would it be better to only keep 'derivative work'? Keepwishes (talk) 07:56, 16 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

I have re-added them since they're ultimately harmless, but the presence of different from (P1889) is not going to dissuade anyone from adding the wrong information to the wrong item, it happens all the time. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:00, 16 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your understanding. I completely agree with your final point. You're absolutely right. I appreciate your insight and perspective on this matter. Keepwishes (talk) 08:15, 16 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Japanese film alias

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth, question for edits like this one on many Japanese films like Let's Go Karaoke! (Q130403947): Why did you add this as English alias if this is clearly not English, as the words don't have any meaning in English but they are rather romanization of Japanese (Q192509). So actually "Japanese language written in Latin script" --D-Kuru (talk) 12:17, 23 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please refer up the page to the last time you asked me that question. Romanizations are not Japanese. —Xezbeth (talk) 12:19, 23 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the note, seems I forgot about this (or had no time to respond, I can't remember)
"Romanizations are not Japanese and so do not belong as a Japanese label or alias." - It's not English either. You wouldn't enter a German Alias in the English field either. It's an alias that only makes sense for people who are able to read/understand Japanese. So as there is no place for text in Japanese language that is not written in a Japanese writing system, there would be no place for such information --D-Kuru (talk) 10:33, 24 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is "English". Me and the Alien MuMu (Q131348648)'s English Wikipedia article is correctly titled "Uchūjin Mūmū" until an official English translation appears. If it never appears, then it will remain at that title. This is the case for tens of thousands of other items already. —Xezbeth (talk) 10:38, 24 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, sorry it's not English. en:Romanization of Japanese: "The romanization of Japanese is the use of Latin script to write the Japanese language."
You self confirmed this logic with "until an official English translation appears" which means that the name itself is not translated and thereby not English. Using the name from a different language for something just because the work has no official name in one language does not make it part of the language. eg. "facebook" is a name that comes from the english language. Just because ja:Facebook exists does not make "facebook" a word that has a Japanese meaning. It is may included into the language over time with it's own meaning, but it does not originate from that language.

Adaptation Relationship for original manga and novel version

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth, thank you for creating the Wikidata items for The Ayakashi Hunter's Tainted Bride manga (Q132316560) and novel (Q132316558). There seems to be a mix-up in their adaptation relationship – actually the manga is the original work, with the novel being its adaptation (as referenced the article). I tried to edit Q132316558 yesterday but might have made unintended mistake due to my Wikidata inexperience.(I'm so sorry....) Could you please correct their "based on/derivative work" and other details? Thank you for your consistent contributions to maintaining! Sofmkr (talk) 18:43, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, since that was a mistake on my part I just swapped a few properties around to fix it. —Xezbeth (talk) 19:41, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much! ☺️ I just realized there's an additional detail regarding the Japanese titles that I should mention – the novel version was published without any subtitle. My apologies for overlooking this point earlier.
For the original manga, while the subtitle was removed in the tankōbon releases starting from Vol6, it still appears on the serialization platform Palcy. I believe retaining the subtitle for now would better reflect its current usage, but I defer to your expertise on Wikidata conventions. Thanks again for your help! 🥹 Sofmkr (talk) 11:41, 3 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Q134285843

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth, I'm reaching out regarding the deletion of the Wikidata item for 1001Pneus (Q134285843), which you removed on July 4, 2025, citing "spam / advertising" as the reason.

I represent 1001Pneus, a French company founded in 2009 and well-established in the online tire retail industry. We are featured in multiple independent and reliable sources (including Auto Plus, Journal du Pneumatique, La Tribune, Affilae, among others).

The company generates tens of millions of euros in annual revenue, operates in several countries, and works with a network of over 4,000 partner garages.

Our intention with the Wikidata item was not promotional, but rather to provide factual, well-sourced and structured data that meets Wikidata’s notability and verifiability standards.

I would appreciate the opportunity to understand the specific concerns that led to the deletion, and whether a properly sourced and neutral recreation of the item could be considered acceptable.

Thank you in advance for your time and feedback, Gabin Berthet

Toward the Terra

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth, I saw your revert of one of my edits from 2024. I apologise for my mistake and for having compromised the page in question. I've been active on Wikidata for just over a year now, but even today I still don't feel fully prepared to handle things comprehensively, as every subcategory has its own way of being managed and its own set of unwritten rules (manga, novels, animated series, OVAs, live-action productions… all have different handling methods). As a rule, I tend to edit only items relating to films and people, as those are the ones I’ve been better guided on by other users. So I’d like to ask: since there is a conflation (Q14946528), shouldn't the item in question be restructured? Specifically, shouldn’t the animated video work and the written manga be split into two separate items? After all, they have different release years and, of course, different teams of people involved in their creation. Having everything combined in one item makes things quite confusing. I look forward to your advice — always happy to learn something new! --Wiccio (talk) 07:54, 2 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it's one of many that needs to be split. I will get round to it myself eventually, but removing properties without splitting them off is the worst solution as I might not even notice that it wasn't split out. I only noticed this one because the description hadn't been updated. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:45, 2 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Undelete Q64485317 Request

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth,

I noticed that the Apex Pest Control item Q64485317 was deleted for reasons related to spam/advertising. I wanted to reach out respectfully to better understand and ensure compliance with Wikidata policies.

Background: The Apex Pest Control entry has existed since around 2019–2020. I recently updated the item with current information (e.g., memberships, accreditations, service area) and added references to reliable sources.

Shortly after these edits, the entry was deleted. When I recreated it with a factual approach, it was also removed.

My intention: I’m aiming to maintain a factual, non-promotional record of the company. I’ve sourced information from independent and verifiable references, not just the company’s own website.

For example: Award received (P166): Apex Pest Control Barnsley was named “Installer of the Month – November 2024” by Defender® Bird Spikes (birdspikesonline.co.uk) — an independent industry recognition.

Trade association memberships (P463): The company is a member of both the BPCA and NPTA, as confirmed on their service pages (apex-pest-control.co.uk/leeds).

Inception (P571): The company was established in 2016, as noted on the “About Us” page (apex-pest-control.co.uk/about-us).

My questions: Could you clarify which specific aspect of the entry was judged as promotional or non-compliant, given the above references?

If the subject does not currently meet Wikidata’s notability criteria, is there a recommended path (e.g., waiting for more independent coverage or press)?

Are there formatting or sourcing adjustments I can make so that a neutral, verifiable version of the item can exist?

I’d be very grateful for your guidance so I can ensure any future edits are fully in line with Wikidata’s standards.

Thank you for your time and support,

Undelete Q135654650 request

[edit]

Please explain why you deleted my entry for Endeavor Agency, Inc.? I am under the impression that WikiData is supposed to be more lenient when it comes to notability than Wikipedia, and that it is an option available for small businesses to be able to be seen by LLMs and not get left behind in this new search era. I referenced several external links, including our Google Business Page with reviews, Yelp page with reviews, and other web listings. I followed the directions to build this page.

If it is a matter of editing the description, I can do that, instead of the page being deleted. CareerCoachingContributor (talk) 21:18, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Requesting undeletion for Ahmad Yani park item on Wikidata

Hello Xezbeth

Currently, I and my team from Indonesia are working on a Rapid Fund project, WikiPublicSpaces, to open the access of all public spaces in Medan City, Indonesia. I think this Ahmad Yani park item is eligible to be put on Wikidata since it is covering the public interest (many people necessity of information to accessible public space) and it already been here since a long time. Apologize for my bad quality of the item, maybe it still lack of references and main structure, but I don't think it should be deleted.

Request for undeletion: Hudson Square Properties, 345 Hudson Street, and 555 Greenwich

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth,

I would like to request undeletion of three items you deleted as spam/advertising:

Hudson Square Properties, a joint venture of Hines, Trinity Church Wall Street, and Norges Bank Investment Management, has been the subject of coverage in independent, third-party sources, demonstrating that the venture meets Wikidata’s notability guidelines (WD:N). Two of its key properties — 555 Greenwich and 345 Hudson Street — have also received independent coverage:

These independent sources provide substantive coverage of the joint venture and its portfolio buildings. On this basis, I respectfully request undeletion of all three items.

[edit]

Hello Xezbeth,

I noticed that the item on Adrianos Facchetti (Q135077031) was deleted for spam/advertising. I’d like to kindly request undeletion, as I believe the subject meets Wikidata’s notability criteria.

Here are independent, verifiable sources that help establish his notability:

These references demonstrate that the subject is a licensed attorney, recognized locally through independent media, and listed in national legal directories. I understand that promotional links (like his law firm site or referral networks) are not sufficient, so I am focusing only on third-party, independent sources.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know if I should provide additional references.
